GEORGE ZAHLER, son of Jeanne Henriette Bonzon and Joseph Zahler, was born June 03, 1836 in Pennsylvania, and died October 14, 1871 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. He married SARAH ELLEN CHADWICK. She died about 1884.

Bonzo Family researchers have found much of George's information in St. Paul's German Lutheran and Reformed Church records (Zelienople, PA).
The Beaver County Courthouse has a "Permanent County Card Record" for George, which provides information: Civil War service 15 Sept 1862 - 28 Sept 1862; Company C, 6th Regiment of Pennsylvania Militia. His rank was Private. He rests at Grove Cemetery, New Brighton, Beaver county, Pennsylvania, Section AW 1/2; Lot 30; Marker: GAR 457.
The Zahller Family Bible states: "George Zahllar b June 3 1836"

CENSUS: 1850 for New Sewickley Township, Beaver county, Pennsylvania, lists George, age 14, born in Pa., living in the household of Jacob Goss Jr . age 36.
