CENSUS: 1850, 1880. Birth year estimated from the 1850 census. A Deemer Descendant gives 1845.
From a second Deemer Descendant - 2003: According to the doctor the cause of death was general breakdown. He had no appetite for months and got weaker until the final summons. A letter from Jacob to Andrew said John had been sick since spring. The brothers and sisters attending his funeral were: Louis, David, Sarah Kallner, Elizabeth Coburn. George of Columbus, Ohio had visited John just 2 weeks before and did not come for the final rites.

JOHN DEEMER, son of Susanna Elizabeth Bonzo and Peter Jacob Deemer, was born March 1844 in Butler, Butler county, Pennsylvania, and died November 09, 1914 in West Portsmouth, Scioto county, Ohio. He married NANCY MARIA BENNETT, aka "Mary", February 07, 1871 in Scioto county, Ohio. She was born 1845 in , Scioto county, Ohio, and died 1915 in Scioto county, Ohio.
Andrew McKinstere (Mac) Deemer was born November 21,1871 in Scioto county, Ohio. He died at Rushtown, Scioto county, Ohio, on March 28, 1938 at 4: 30 a.m. due to bronchial pneumonia. His remains were viewed at the home of his brother Wesley, at Pleasant Hill Ridge, Rushtown, Ohio. Mac resided at Henley Deemer Road in McDermott, Ohio He was a farmer, and never married. His farm was over 100 acres, 81 acres were given to him by his father.
Mary Alice Deemer was born May 31, 1873 and died February 1, 1876.
Wesley Brown Deemer was born about 1875 and died in 1942.
Lucy Stella Deemer was born about 1879.
John Stanley Deemer married Sarah Ellen Hilt.
